In the USA––The BYU Kennedy Center

Located in the heart of Brigham Young University’s campus, the Kennedy Center is a dynamic, global center that offers a broad spectrum of study and service opportunities and oversees all BYU foreign programs.  The Center’s objective is to mold the brightest students today who will serve the people and nations of the world tomorrow—a commitment that extends beyond classroom theory to incorporate practical experience in an international setting. Faculty and staff assist students with identifying and taking advantage of international study, career goals, and job placement. Kennedy Center graduates have a reputation around the world for their academic excellence, international experience, and moral character. The Center offers six major and five minor degree programs.

Program Director

Tony Brown works in the Department of German and Russian at Brigham Young University (BYU) where he teaches courses in Russian language and culture.  For the past 10 years, he has directed internship programs for BYU in Eastern Europe and, more recently, in Western Europe. In this capacity, he oversees each stage of preparation and execution, including language instruction.  In 2014, he launched an advanced-level foreign language series with Georgetown University Press that serves as the course of language study on internship programs. In addition, he has authored and co-authored multiple articles, book chapters, edited volumes, and textbooks on Second Language Acquisition and Experiential Learning.

In Europe—Baltic Center for Educational and Academic Development

The Baltic Center for Educational and Academic Development is located in Riga, Latvia. It  serves as a central hub and provides operational support for all BYU European Internship Programs. The mission of the Baltic Center is to deliver high-level educational and professional experiences in Europe by providing tailored professional internships and advanced foreign language instruction. The Baltic Center operates in Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.

In Berlin—The Berlin Office

PHOTO. The in-country director of the Berlin Internship Program, Anastasia Konstantinova, brings over 10 years of international work experience to the program. Her main focus is project management and her passion is networking. She takes care of all organizational processes, builds a network of internship providers, and matches students with an appropriate internship. During each program, Ms. Konstantinova personally handles all questions and concerns in order to ensure an open line of communication between students and their internship providers.
