Internship Info
Internship placement
Our internship partners reflect companies and organizations from an array of fields and disciplines. They comprise German and foreign companies, well-known international corporations and small start-ups, NGOs, and refugee camps.
All students carry out a pre-program Skype interview with their recommended internship provider. If mutually satisfied, both sides enter into a contract that sets forth the internship dates, working hours, intern responsibilities, etc.
Although we do our best to tailor your Berlin experience, we cannot guarantee an exact match. Therefore, we ask that you be flexible in terms of your professional field of internship. In the end, we are confident that you will have an unforgettable experience that will enhance both your personal and professional growth.
Duration and hours
Internships typically run for 11-12 weeks.
Internship hours range from 15-35 a week.
There is no such thing as a “standard internship.“ Each is tailored individually, which makes this experience unique!
Language of internship
If you speak German, you likely will use both German and English at your internship. You can discuss with your provider the extent to which you wish to use German.
For accompanying spouses who do not speak German, we find English-speaking internships.
Some internships call for knowledge of other foreign languages, such as Arabic, French, and Spanish.
